Twig Dip

Children will need help from an adult! Don't forget to drink water while you hike.

Yield: 6 servings

Serving Size: 2 Tbsp

Prep Time: 10 minutes

 

Ingredients:

  • 8-ounce package low-fat cream cheese
  • 7 ounces marshmallow cream
  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Equipment:

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Portable, covered dish

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and whip with an electric mixer.

To Serve:

  • Put in a portable, covered dish. Also, pack the dip with a frozen water bottle or ice pack in an insulated container to keep it cold on the trail.

Fun Fact: Most fruits develop in 3 to 4 months, but pineapples take about 18 months to grow!
