Fruit Twigs

Children will need help from an adult! Don't forget to drink water while you hike.

Yield: 4 servings

Serving Size: 1 kabob

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite fruits (bananas, apples, grapes, pears, pineapple)
  • 1 serving of Twig Dip

Equipment:

  • Knife
  • 4 wooden skewer sticks
  • Plastic wrap
Nutritional Information will vary depending on ingredient selection.

Directions:

  1. Wash all fruit thoroughly.
  2. Cut all fruit into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Slide pieces of fruit onto kabob.

To Serve:

  • Wrap individual servings in plastic wrap.

Helpful Hint:

  • Add a little lemon juice to apples, pears, and bananas to prevent browning.

Fun Fact: Blue, red, purple, orange, yellow . . . fruit comes in every color of the rainbow. A fruit’s color is related to the different disease-fighting phytochemicals it contains. Load up on your colors to make your plate bright and nutritious.
