Garlic & Onion Veggie Dip

Children will need help from an adult! Don't forget to drink water while you hike.

Yield: 1-½ cup

Serving Size: 2 Tbsp

Prep Time: 10 minutes

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup low-fat or fat-free plain yogurt
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp dill weed
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of ground pepper

Equipment:

  • Blender
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
Nutritional Information will vary depending on the brand selection.

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend ingredients until
    smooth.

To Serve:

  • Put in a portable, covered dish. Also, pack the dip with a frozen water bottle or ice pack in an insulated container to keep it cold on the trail.

Fun Fact: The green onion is also called a scallion.
